At the time, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands were under British rule. Bose's act was a symbolic gesture of India's independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 150-foot-high Flag Point. It's located at 64°49′S 63°31′W, 0.3 nautical miles (0.6 km) east-southeast of Damoy Point. Our Prime
